Medicare Advantage plans, all in one place.
Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, bundles your hospital, medical, and usually drug coverage into a single plan run by a private insurance company that Medicare has approved. Many plans add extras Original Medicare doesn't cover on its own.
What it is
Instead of Original Medicare paying claims directly, an Advantage plan takes over that role. You still have Medicare, but your day-to-day coverage runs through the private plan you choose, with its own network of doctors and hospitals and its own rules for referrals and prior authorization.
Most Advantage plans include prescription drug coverage built in, along with extras like dental, vision, hearing, or a fitness benefit. Premiums are often low, sometimes zero, because the plan is structured around a network and cost-sharing that differs from Original Medicare.
The tradeoff is that you're working within that plan's network and rules. For people who are comfortable with a managed network and want more benefits bundled together for a lower monthly cost, Advantage is often a strong fit.
Who this fits
- You're comfortable choosing doctors from a plan network
- You want dental, vision, or hearing coverage built into one plan
- You'd rather pay a low or no monthly premium and share cost at the time of care
- You don't travel extensively outside your plan's service area
What we do for you
Check your doctors and hospitals first
Before we talk about benefits, we confirm which Advantage plans include the doctors and hospitals you already use.
Compare plans from multiple companies
We're independent, so we lay out several Advantage plans side by side instead of pushing one company's option.
Walk through the extras honestly
Dental, vision, hearing, fitness benefits. We tell you what's genuinely useful for you and what's marketing filler.
Handle enrollment and the timing rules
Advantage enrollment has specific windows. We make sure your application goes in correctly and on time.
Advantage vs. Supplement, the honest version
Neither one is universally better. The right fit depends on your doctors, how often you travel, and whether you'd rather pay more monthly for flexibility or less monthly and share cost at the time of care.
Medicare Advantage tends to fit if you...
- Want dental, vision, and hearing bundled in
- Are fine with a defined network of doctors
- Want a lower, sometimes $0, monthly premium
- Mostly get care close to home
Medicare Supplement tends to fit if you...
- Want to see any doctor who accepts Medicare, nationwide
- Travel often or split time between states
- Prefer predictable costs over a lower premium
- Want fewer referrals and less prior authorization
We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
Bring your doctor list. We'll do the rest.
The fastest way to know if Advantage fits you is to check it against the doctors and prescriptions you already rely on. That's exactly where we'll start.
